MYKITA

MYKITA MYLON

MYKITA MYLON blurs the border between fashion and sports. State-of-the-art design coupled with a material that boasts individual adjustability, low weight and extreme durability make these spectacles both an outstanding sporting companion and a perfect everyday accessory. The manufacturing process for MYLON has won MYKITA recognition in the form of the iF material award. The collection was honored with the Red Dot design award in the field of product design.

The evolution of the MYKITA MYLON frames began with a new production process: Selective Laser Sintering enables the creation of objects in every possible geometrical configuration. Layer by layer a super-fine polyamide powder is turned via CO2 laser sintering into three-dimensional objects that are fed in before hand in data form.

In 2007 MYKITA began experimenting with the polyamide material, aiming to pioneer it in the production of eyewear. Several years of research were invested in the development of a complex, patented process in which the raw surface of the material is prepared and rendered wearable in a series of stages, giving the frames a unique visual and tactile appeal.

The new PHILIPP PLEIN advertising campaign for Autumn-Winter 2013/2014

Street Couture
”When Fashion walks the street”

The new PHILIPP PLEIN advertising campaign for Autumn-Winter 2013/2014

“Street Couture” or when the fashion show extravaganza takes to the streets of the world and everyday life becomes truly extraordinary. A reportage of moments taken from ordinary everyday life and reinterpreted in real PHILIPP PLEIN style, with his own unique touch of irony, provocation and surprise. The most mundane actions and places are transformed into something spectacular and eccentric. Because everything in Philipp Plein’s style is taken to excess, while always remaining sophisticated.
This is the concept of the new A/W 2013/2014 campaign photographed in New York by the young Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini.

Nine different urban situations, in some of the most recognisable locations in the Big Apple. Dancing in the dead of night on Fifth Avenue. Lining up in front of a “Photo Booth” occupied by ardent lovers. A woman steals the show from the masterpiece in an art gallery. A sex bomb in a laundromat, wearing only fine jewellery, accessories and ultra-high heels, waiting for her dress to come out of the washing machine. And, in the heart of Manhattan, a woman dressed up for a big night out, pushing a vacuum cleaner.

The designer Philipp Plein plays a cameo role in the background of each photo, while ensuring that his new collection is always the true protagonist. Stunning clothes and accessories, where the excellence of Italian quality enhances the art of seduction, displaying the natural power of attraction exuded by those who want to please and be pleased, but above all who want to have fun doing whatever they want, living each day as it comes, to the fullest, without limits or inhibitions.

Thanks to her strong personality, the top model Chloe Norgaard interprets these new urban stories to perfection. Her unconventional beauty, emphasised by her signature Technicolor hair, represents the perfect incarnation of PHILIPP PLEIN style.

”For this new campaign I wanted to focus fully on a photographer like Francesco Carrozzini, who demonstrates extraordinary sensitivity and creativity,” says Philipp Plein. “This is why I enjoyed being featured in his pictures. It was fascinating to discover how I am seen by an artist like himself.”
