GIORGIO BRATO | True Italian Finesse

Giorgio Braschi, the Italian designer was born in Bologna in 1967; his family has always been in involved in the production of leather garments. Initially, his business consisted of producing technical perfor- mance motorbike jackets in leather; later this evolved into production for prêt à porter collections and gave rise to his consuming and ongoing passion for fashion. In 2001 he had the winning idea of fusing the luxury of leather with fashion style to create a collection of high quality dyed leather garments. Research and the techniques of craftmanship workings enabled him to create special items of clothing and accessories in softest nappa leather.

The craftsmanship aspect of the designer’s production endows the collection with a refined look and a lived-in feel. Each garment is unique and is distinguished by its original lines and shapes, which when combined with special washing techniques create jackets, bags and shoes each with an individual look. Each Giorgio Brato item in leather is special and once worn continues to adapt to the body becoming a second skin.

Today Giorgio Brato is recognised as a brand of international renown.The production process for his garments remains linked to the tradition of craftsmanship preserving the quality and style whichsingle out the true Made In Italy. Notwithstanding the fact that the brand may appear small compared to other well-known and historically established brands, Giorgio Brato has successfully promoted his brand in the most demanding circles of the fashion system thanks to a simple and direct message: the emotion felt when wearing his clothes. THE DONDUP WOMAN OF THE FALL/WINTER COLLECTION 2013

It ‘a sort of modern “Alice in Wonderland” the woman of the Fall / Winter 2013/14 presented by Dondup.

A fairy that walk, a magic femininity that runs through the everyday. This is a new idea of romantic woman, cosmopolitan, urban and modern.
A new femininity, romanticism made by the calls of animals fairy, light in colors that recall the forest, such as green and burgundy, and by fitting the essential and decisive. The purity of white stones with precious details in gold, capes, oversized pants, double-breasted jackets and balloon dresses. Shirts and blouses with gossamer silk organza create some new volumes and new silhouettes but also ruffs in organza, voile with silk for their magic the historical fabrics such as tartan and check. A fairy tale from the soul rock’n’roll all to wear.
“Timeless Classics” as the kilt or fur stole, embellished with applications of stones or brush strokes of bold shades such as red or purple making current and authentic leaders of the past that become modern.

A woman of the present, unconventional, with the “trumpet” pants combined with silk blouse “press braids” by the tone punk art, unstructured coat to fit the fluid created with classic fabrics such as mouliné decided by the color like royal blue, a woman present , unconventional. masculine cut pants, to which panels are fitted to effect skirt.

Moncler Grenoble Autumn-Winter 2013/14. The Show

Moncler Grenoble saw the majestic nature of forest mountains being taken into the city, in the impressive cupola of Gotham Hall in New York.
Five rows covered the circular walls along which 370 boys and girls wearing Moncler Grenoble AW 2013/14 collection lined up, whilst a mirror hanging from the ceiling reflects kaleidoscopic repetitions of their images.

Only one colour, green, dominated the scene in a variety of hues. The green of the trees that bring to life Alpine peaks where wind, sky, snow and ice reign supreme.

A new high altitude ritual in the heart of Manhattan.
